If you are a woman who is not the size of the models on the sportswear sites, but you're still looking for great looking and great fitting workout clothes, then this is the site for you!
It was November, 2016. My second child just turned a year old. I was 43 and pretty much in the worse shape of my life. I was nearing 240 pounds, having health issues (high blood pressure with diabetes beginning to knock on the door) and I knew I was going to have to make drastic changes if I was going to have any chance of seeing my daughter walk down the aisle at her wedding.
A friend of mine worked at a gym as an instructor and they had childcare there, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to hang out with my friend, get a break from dealing with my kids, and get myself back into shape. With diet and exercise, I have lost 60 pounds and have been able to keep it off for over a year now.
As I have gone on this journey, I have had many struggles with the workout clothes that I have bought and tried to use. Maybe you've had some of the same struggles: breasts that don't stay where they're supposed to; waistbands that keep rolling down; straps that don't stay in place or you can't figure out how to get them untwisted; cleavage deeper than the Grand Canyon while you're trying to do a downward dog? Why do clothing manufacturers think that sticking "two watermelons in a hammock" is the best way to "support" women when they work out?
I want support women find the best support they can in their clothes and in each other. I will be posting on this blog about different clothes and other fitness resources, but we can also connect through:
I'll also be sending out emails 1-2 times a week to help alert you to everything that's going on here. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you wherever you are in your health journey!
